About Me

Hi there!

As a recent M.A. (Emerging Media) graduate and aspiring UX designer, my primary goal is to create engaging and easy-to-use experiences for users. I believe that good design should always center around the needs and expectations of the user, and I am committed to working closely with others to understand their goals and develop solutions that align with those goals.

My passion for UX design and emerging media comes from a desire to improve people’s lives through technology. By keeping up with the latest trends and techniques in design, I am always seeking new ways to make digital products more enjoyable to use.

I also have experience in local journalism from working as an intern at The Oglethorpe Echo, a (was dying) local newspaper for Oglethorpe County, GA, covering news for the cities & towns in the county. From writing to interviewing to producing, I have dabbled in them all.

When I’m not writing, designing, or creating, you can find me trying overpriced lattes at local coffee shops. If you’re looking for a dedicated UX designer & journalist who is passionate about making a difference, then I would love to hear from you. Drop me a line below!

This narrative is about my experience doing the Emerging Media masters program through the New Media Institute at Grady College at UGA.

This is a capstone case study on my partner, Jason Marcus, and I’s app that we built for our capstone project How2, the ultimate go-to place for instructional/DIY livestream content.

This project provides a visual representation of my capstone project, How2, with my partner Jason Marcus through a detailed design system that best encapsulates our vision.

This is an example of a story that I wrote for Grady Newsource about the impact of COVID-19 on the global fashion industry and local Athens fashion industry.

This is an example of a news package that I made in this course. I decided to do a profile package on Ryder Chosewood, owner of Kempt, on the impact that COVID-19 has had since the last time I interviewed him for my JOUR3190 (Reporting Across Platforms) class.

This is another example of a story that I wrote for Grady Newsource about the impact of COVID-19 on local Athens businesses.

During my senior journalism capstone course, I was an intern for a local weekly newspaper in Oglethorpe County, GA, The Oglethorpe Echo. As a reporter and producer, I was on the the Cities beat where I covered news in the different towns and cities in the county. Here are a few examples of articles that I wrote during my time at the Echo.
